Start by measuring the full length of both walls the sofa will sit against, not just one. Also measure all doorways, hallways, and any tight turns between your front door and the room - this is where most delivery problems occur. Leave at least 45cm of clearance between the sofa and other furniture. If you're unsure, bring your room dimensions into our showrooms in Gamlingay or St Ives and our team will help you work it out before you commit.
This refers to which side the longer section or chaise faces when you're standing looking at the sofa. If the chaise is on your left, it's a left-hand facing (LHF) sofa; if it's on your right, it's right-hand facing (RHF). Getting this wrong is one of the most common and costly sofa mistakes. We'd always recommend sketching your room layout before visiting - or our team can help you work out the correct orientation in-store.
Our corner sofa collection includes models from G Plan, Alstons, Parker Knoll, Ercol and many more brands - all British manufacturers with decades of experience in upholstery. Each brand has a distinct character: G Plan is known for its contemporary styling and ten-year frame guarantee, Alstons for its range of fabric options, and Parker Knoll for its traditional craftsmanship and deep comfort. All are available to try in person at our Gamlingay or St Ives showrooms.
Yes - most of the corner sofa ranges we stock are available in both fabric and leather finishes, with a wide choice of colours within each. Fabric tends to feel warmer and offers more pattern and texture choices; leather is easier to wipe clean and suits a more contemporary look. If you're unsure which is right for your home, our buying guide on fabric vs leather sofas is a good starting point - and our in-store team can show you swatches from every available option.
